The history of Tasmanian distilling is long and storied, tracing its roots back to 1822 with the first legal distillery established by Thomas Haigh Midwood. The industry quickly flourished, with 16 distilleries operating across the island within just two years.

Today, we honor this rich legacy, leveraging Tasmania’s perfect combination of pristine environment and a long-standing expertise in growing, malting, and distilling premium barley.

While our spirit starts with the traditional craft of Single Malt Whisky, we employ a meticulously developed methodology specifically tailored for Premium Vodka production. We partner with local distilleries who craft our spirit in time-honored pot stills.

Precision in Every Drop

Our commitment to purity is detailed and deliberate:

Time and Temperature; Fermentation: We utilize a specific yeast strain and precise fermentation temperatures to naturally reduce the production of heavier, undesirable fusel oils.
The Ultra-Fine Cut: During distillation, we significantly reduce the size of our 'cut' compared to traditional whisky production. This meticulous process ensures we only capture the most unique, light, floral, and top fruity notes.
